A fundraiser will be held Saturday for Zayla Mitsdarffer, the 12-year-old from Bonfield battling cancer for a third time.
The Herscher American Legion Post 795 will host the event from 4 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $10 for those 13 and older, with those younger admitted for free, and they will be available at the door. There will be raffles and auction items, as well as kids activities.

Benefit raffle at Pembroke Days
There will be a raffle for a Wal-Mart gift card during Pembroke Days on Saturday and Sunday at Pembroke's Martin Luther King Park, 3952 S. Martin Luther King Drive.
Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5. Grand prize is $75, second and third prizes are $25 each. Winner need not be present.
All proceeds from this raffle benefit the Pembroke and Hopkins Park Communication Outreach Committee's Underage Drinking Prevention Program.
COC is a 501c3 organization working to improve neighborhoods and enhance the quality of life of residents in Pembroke Township.
Community day to benefit animal rescue group
Monical's Pizza will have a community day on Tuesday to benefit Sunrise Center Animal Rescue. Monical's will donate 20 percent of your bill to the designated organization.
