The daughter of a 70-year-old Pembroke man who killed in his home last month reported her father's truck stolen Friday afternoon.
Thad Wells was found dead in his home on 5000 South Road in Pembroke Township on July 28. On Friday, his daughter, who lives in northern Illinois, told police his 1990 red GMC pickup truck had been stolen within the last week, according to a Kankakee County sheriff's report.
It appears Wells died from gunshot wounds, Kankakee County Coroner Bob Gessner said earlier this month.
