Morris school bus driver fired after dropping off 30 kids at a park

A bus driver for the Morris school district was fired after dropping off 30 kids at a park instead of their homes on the first day of school Tuesday.

The driver did not know the designated stops, according to the Morris Daily Herald, and instead of calling the school dropped off White Oak Elementary School students as young as kindergarteners at a neighborhood park.

"He displayed a poor lack of judgment and he has been let go," Morris Elementary Superintendent Teri Shaw said, according to the paper. "They have another driver and a monitor on the bus today to make sure the kids are dropped off where they are supposed to be."
