Another win for Wilmington's Tanner Roark

Wilmington's Tanner Roark continues to roll along as a relief pitcher for the Washington Nationals.

Roark tossed two innings and picked up his second victory in three games as the Nationals defeated the San Francisco Giants 4-2 on Tuesday at Nationals Park.

After a lengthy rain delay in the nation's capital caused Washington to remove starter Gio Gonzalez after four innings, Roark entered in the fifth inning holding a 1-0 lead.

He ran into a bit of trouble, allowing a pair of singles that put runners at first and third with the dangerous Buster Posey at the plate. Roark appeared to be on his way out of the inning by inducing a ground ball, but Nationals shortstop Ian Desmond committed a fielding error that allowed an unearned run.

Things went better in the sixth, as Roark recorded his first major league strikeout, fanning Giants outfielder Jeff Francouer.
