Program on plants for hot, dry areas

The new, free series of University of Illinois Extension's Four Seasons Gardening program, which focuses on environmental stewardship and backyard food production, begins with a "Some Like it Hot: plants for hot, dry areas" teleconference session at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the new Ford-Iroquois Extension Office at 916 W. Seminar Ave., Onarga.

The Ford-Iroquois Master Gardeners invite participants to visit their idea garden south of the Onarga Public Library after the teleconference.

Organizers request registration in advance so enough materials are available for everyone. Call 815-268-4051 or email heins@illinois.edu.
